Messaging Terms

These Messaging Terms explain how Rose River communicates with you using SMS text messages, app notifications, email, and other messaging services.

Consent

By enabling one or more notification methods in your Rose River Preferences, or by leaving the default notification settings enabled, you consent to receive the selected communications from Rose River.

You may change your notification preferences at any time from the Preferences screen, subject to any legal or operational requirements.

Types of Messages

Depending on your preferences and your role within Rose River, you may receive notifications regarding:

  • New requests for assistance.
  • Requests assigned to you.
  • Confirmation that you accepted a request.
  • Requests that become available again after a previously assigned caregiver is unable to fulfill them.
  • Emergency declarations.
  • Messages sent to you by caregivers, care team members, or system administrators.
  • Account, security, and service-related notifications.
  • Other notifications necessary to support the safe and effective operation of Rose River.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies depending on your activity, your notification preferences, and the needs of the individuals and care teams you support. Some users may receive only occasional notifications, while others may receive multiple notifications during periods of increased caregiving activity.

SMS Messages

If SMS Text Messages are enabled, Rose River may send text messages to the mobile phone number associated with your account.

Message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier's plan.

You may disable SMS notifications at any time from the Preferences screen.

Rose River is currently under development. During this phase, SMS notifications may be enabled or disabled from the Preferences screen. Support for SMS commands such as STOP and HELP is planned for a future release.

Disabling SMS notifications does not prevent Rose River from sending other notification types that you have enabled, such as App Notifications or Email.

App Notifications

If you enable App Notifications and your device supports them, Rose River may send notifications to your phone, tablet, or computer even when the application is not actively open.

Email

If Email notifications are enabled, Rose River may send informational, account, and caregiving-related messages to the email address associated with your account.

Privacy

Rose River uses carefully selected third-party providers to deliver messages, including SMS, email, and app notifications.

We make reasonable efforts to avoid including unnecessary Protected Health Information (PHI) in notifications. However, because Rose River supports caregiving and emergency communication, certain notifications may contain personal or health-related information when necessary to fulfill their purpose.

Your use of Rose River is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how personal information is collected, used, stored, and protected.

Availability

Rose River may delay, limit, or decline to send notifications due to service outages, carrier limitations, security concerns, legal requirements, account status, or other operational reasons. Delivery of any notification cannot be guaranteed.

Changes

These Messaging Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of Rose River after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Messaging Terms.
