Overview
Rose River is designed to help caregivers, families, and members of a Care Team organize and coordinate care-related information.
Privacy is one of the core design goals of Rose River.
Rose River does not sell or share user data to advertisers, data brokers, marketing companies, or third parties.
Rose River is being designed to minimize unnecessary data collection whenever practical.
However, some features require information to be:
- stored on Rose River servers
- synchronized between devices
- shared with authorized members of a Care Team
- processed by artificial intelligence services
By using Rose River, you acknowledge and accept the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
IMPORTANT DEVELOPMENT NOTICE
Rose River is currently:
- experimental
- under active development
- not production-ready
- not yet HIPAA compliant
Security systems and privacy protections may be incomplete, untested, or subject to change.
At this time, users should not store:
- protected health information (PHI)
- medical records
- sensitive financial information
- emergency information
- confidential personal information
within Rose River.
Use of the application is currently at the user's own risk.
No Sale or Sharing of User Data
Rose River does not sell user data. User data is shared with third parties only for the purposes sending messages to you and others on your Care Team, and to use the Artificial Intelligence (AI) functions.
Specifically, Rose River does not:
- sell personal information
- sell medical information
- sell caregiving information
- sell uploaded images or documents
- sell voice recordings
- sell usage history
- sell contact information
Rose River is intended to operate as a caregiving and organizational platform, not an advertising or data brokerage business.
No Advertising
The purpose of Rose River is to assist caregivers, not to make their lives harder or more complicated. Rose River does not display advertising, and does not share or use your data in any way that would give information to advertisers.
Anonymous and Local Use
Whenever practical, Rose River is designed to support use without requiring account creation.
The most privacy-preserving way to use Rose River is without creating an account.
When used without an account:
- data may remain only on the local device
- synchronization may not occur
- some cloud-based services may not function
- some AI-assisted features may not function
However, some functionality is limited when operating without an account.
Features that may be unavailable or limited without account creation include:
- Synchronization of data across multiple devices
- Sharing information with members of a Care Team
- Some AI-assisted photo and voice data-entry functions
- Emergency access to important information by EMS or other emergency personnel
- Reminders and notifications, including email, SMS Text Messaging, Push Notifications, and In-App messages
Information We May Store
Depending on the features used, Rose River may store:
- account information
- caregiver information
- care recipient information
- schedules and reminders
- uploaded images
- uploaded documents
- notes and organizational information
- synchronization metadata
- device identifiers
- audit and operational logs
Some information may be stored locally on the user's device.
Some information may be transmitted to or stored on Rose River servers.
Artificial Intelligence Processing
Some Rose River features may use artificial intelligence services to:
- process uploaded images
- interpret prescription labels
- extract text from documents
- process voice input
- assist with data entry
- organize information
To provide these features, uploaded information may be transmitted to third-party AI providers for processing.
This may include:
- images
- text
- voice transcripts
- extracted data
- contextual information required for processing
Rose River attempts to minimize unnecessary sharing whenever practical.
AI-generated results may:
- be inaccurate
- omit information
- misinterpret information
- contain errors
Users are responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated output.
Voice and Photo Features
If users choose to use:
- voice input
- photo upload
- image recognition
- AI-assisted extraction
then the associated data may be:
- temporarily transmitted
- temporarily processed
- temporarily stored
by Rose River systems and/or third-party AI processing providers.
Users should avoid uploading highly sensitive information while the application remains under development.
Care Team Sharing
Users may choose to share information with authorized members of a Care Team.
Shared information may become accessible to:
- caregivers
- family members
- providers
- emergency personnel
- other authorized users
Users are responsible for determining what information they choose to share.
Emergency Access
Some future Rose River features may allow emergency access to limited information by EMS or emergency personnel.
These features are intended to support emergency situations and may involve:
- QR codes
- emergency access links
- temporary emergency authorization
Users will generally control whether these features are enabled.
Emergency access features are currently experimental and should not yet be relied upon.
Security
Rose River attempts to use reasonable security measures whenever practical.
However:
- no security guarantees are made
- no HIPAA compliance claims are currently made
- transmissions may not be secure
- stored data may be exposed
- synchronization errors may occur
- unauthorized access may occur
Users should assume that any information stored in Rose River could potentially be compromised while the application remains under development.
Data Retention
Rose River may retain:
- uploaded content
- synchronization data
- operational logs
- backups
- audit records
for development, debugging, operational, or recovery purposes.
Retention periods may change as the application evolves.
Cookies and Local Storage
Rose River may use:
- cookies
- local browser storage
- IndexedDB (local storage on your device)
- session storage
to support:
- authentication
- synchronization
- offline operation
- application preferences
- performance optimization
Third-Party Services
Rose River may rely on third-party providers for:
- hosting
- infrastructure
- artificial intelligence services

- synchronization
- security services
- SMS text messaging
- Push notifications
- Email notifications
We attempt to avoid including Protected Health Information (PHI) in these messages, but it may be necessary at times for the application to perform its intended functions. These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services.

Rose River is not intended for use by young children without supervision by a responsible adult caregiver.
